New South Wales, Australia Father Paul always had a happy word for everyone and he will be sadly missed by so many at the shows around New South Wales. Our condolences
to his family on the loss of such a warm and kind man who leaves the world
a better place for him being in it. The Tri-Nations Cup ran for the first time in 2006 and with it's success came FEI recognition as a CSIO** event. |

This series is hoped to bring more prominence to the disciplines of showjumping and dressage in these southern hemisphere countries. The competition sees all riders on borrowed horses with the host nation riders to not have ridden any of the competition horses in the previous 5 years - which makes it hard no doubt to find quality horses for this series. March 2007 saw New Zealand host the first round and they were also the winners of the cup with Australia and South Africa tying for second place in the jumping. Australia did not send representatives for Dressage but Germany sent their riders. The results saw hosts New Zealand also win the Dressage with South Africa in 2nd position and Germany in 3rd. The second leg of the series was held at Kyalami Equestrian Park who provided fabulous facilities and horses to put on a great spectacul in both dressage and showjumping.
