Young Rider International Show
17th - 19th October, 2003
And so we come to the final day of jumping at this show - and after a very late finish on Saturday evening with the last horse leaving the arena at 10.30pm this morning almost felt like a sleep in with the posted start time of 9am!
Now I would like to say that I have one thing I would like to post a public complaint about regarding Cavan Equestrian - and I would also like to say that I have found a solution for the problem!
Please get rid of that damned CD with the McDonalds/Kentucky Fried Chicken/Pizza Hut song - it has given everyone a major headache!!!! It must go - and replaced with a good variety of CD's please - I am begging on behalf of all the riders, spectators, grooms, supporters that were groaning by 9am Saturday morning about it - and then by Sunday morning they were seriously roaring about it!
The solution is simple! We take up a collection and buy Cavan a set of really good CD's which can be rotated so nobody wants to tear their hair out and kill the CD player! But seriously isn't it great that the only fault to be found all weekend was the music choice or lack of!?
The Clarke family run a tight ship and must be congratulated - the place was spotless and it was great to see the riders respecting this and picking up their own mess - thankyou to Pauline for her patience with me as I learned (or messed up) how to do my entries correctly and to Stuart for putting the heater on for us so our fingers kept moving to bring this report to you all.
