The jumpingaround.com/Treehaven Challenge are thrilled with the response to this new competition on the Young Rider calendar and with the third round coming up as part of the Red Hill Agricultural Show program we are getting close to finding who will be traveling to Ireland later in the year and with Emily Harman sitting in first currently she cannot afford to rest on her laurels as Phil Lever and Jess Mills are challenging her strongly being just two points behind.

To find the program for the Red Hill Agricultural Show click here and to all those who do not have a notation mark behind your name remember that the top 10 will go through to the final and it looks like we only have 8 eligible for the Final so you are all still in with a chance as the Leaderboard can change dramatically still.

Jan Heine and Annie Lever are thrilled to be able to announce that this Challenge series will now be going National for 2005 with South Australia, Western Australia and New South Wales coming on board and we are delighted to be joined by these states.

Each state will be holding three rounds with the Final fourth round being held at Treehaven. The Top 10 from each states leaderboard will be invited to the Final and the Final will see all riders starting the two days of competition on zero points.

New South Wales will be in the care of Simon Kale from Foxground Stables and Stud, with Caroline Graham from South Australia looking after things for us and Western Australia will be in the care of Jaqui Moon and our thanks to these people for "taking up the Challenge" of moving our Young Riders onwards and upwards!

As we understand it Western Australia are currently fund raising to assist the finalists in their trip down to Victoria which is fabulous news and I have just had it confirmed that Foxground Stables and Stud will be sponsoring the leader of the New South Wales league for their trip to Victoria for the Final and our thanks go to Simon and Olwyn Kale for their generosity.

We will shortly list all the dates for the 2005 season of the jumpingaround.com/Treehaven Young Rider Showjumping Challenge so keep your eyes posted - don't miss out on this great opportunity for a trip to Ireland to compete which is performance based rather than selection based.

We will also post all contact details shortly for those people who are running the Challenge series in the participating States.

If there are people willing to run the Challenge series in the Northern Territory or Tasmani please feel free to contact either Annie Lever or Jan Heine as there is still time to organise a series in your State.

Also keep your eyes and ears open if you based in Queensland as they may soon also be announcing dates as they join the series.

Please Note: in the above scoreboard those with red* by their total are not eligible to win the trip to Ireland - it is, and has been from the outset, a prequisite that the winner have competed in all 4 rounds and this has been done so that we find a winner who is consistent over a period of time - we believe this to be the fairest way for this competition to run. Those with green~ are also ineligible because they have turned 21 in 2004
