Leinster Region election declared null
and void After
the date for closing of votes, for the Leinster Region, was extended
without notification the members present at the AGM voted for the ballot
to be declared null and void and a new election to be called.......full

A very interesting letter regarding the
SJAI Ulster AGM This
very interesting suggestion has come in from an Ulster Region member
concerning the way the meeting was run and an excellent suggestion for
future procedures. It is great to see there is interest in improving

Australian, Edwina Alexander moves
dramatically up the rankings! With
the new rankings out, Edwina has moved from 61st positon on the
rankings up to number 47 making her the highest ranked Australian
for some time now. Marcus Ehning maintains top spot with Rodrigo
still in 2nd place on the list. The top 10 have remained the same
with some changes of position.

The stars shone as the showjumpers
danced the night away. The
Showjumpers Ball was a glittering affair with people flying in from
all around the world to be at the Killashee house Hotel in Naas,
County Kildare and the place was jumping until the music finished
and breakfast was served at 4am.....full

Chairman of Irish International Affairs
resigns last night..... After
a major disagreement last night, Taylor Vard resigned as Chairman
of International Affairs. The disagreement allegedly erupted between
Vard and the four selectors over the appointment of Robert Splaine
as Chef d'Equip without a contract being in place. We understand
Vard's letter of resignation was received this morning, leaving
................International Affairs
without a leader.

International Grand Prix sees an Irish
win! Peter
Gillespie set the riders a tough track for this evenings course and
of the 39 starters just 8 combinations went through to the jump off
and gave us a very exciting jump off with the end result seeing on two

The 6 & 7 year old class saw super
horses in the Final The
final of the Irish Horse Board sponsored 6 & 7 year old class had
20 in it with just seven going through to the jump off. Peter Gillespie
built a difficult track for these young horses and the riders managed

Show is going ahead with Scarva Stud as the new financial backers
of the show. There has been much confusion as to whether this great
show on the Irish calendar would go ahead and no doubt everyone

League Coming
second in the final in Barcelona today did not stop the Americans from
winnning the League, the world applauds the result of their hard work
and dedication while at the other end of the ladder the battle to avoid
relegation was tough with Ireland remaining and Belgium leaving..full

Irish showjumping troubles continue........ Two
of the five selectors resigned last night as Dublin Horse Show came
to a close. Tom Slattery (the riders representative) and Liam Buckley
called it quits last evening after much discussion regarding team
selection. With the next Super League fixture in Aachen, Ireland
cling by their fingernails to stay in the Super League.

NICK SKELTON AND RUSSELL TAKE THE PUISSANCE The
euro11,300 prize for first in the richest PUissance in the world went
to Britain's Nick Skelton today when they were the only ones to successfully
clear 2.10m at Dublin Horse Show today and they did it without appearing

AGA KHAN CUP GOES TO GREAT BRITAIN FOR
THE 23rd TIME..... With
6 points in hand the Brits were in the lead as their last rider came
out - Michael Whitaker was clocking up a clear round to take the win
and even when Michael lowered the last fence and collected a time penalty

Lever, riding for Stahl Soren Pederson in Germany, took 2nd in the Puissance
