The crowd greeted Harry with a huge cheer which resounded on all sides of the arena.. Harry was aboard the huge and aptly named Master Imp gelding XL and they made it through to 2m when things went a little wrong - but with brilliant riding by this very experienced Irish showjumper, they avoided a nasty accident and rode out of the arena with Harry's customary smile still well in place!

But at 2.10m things just didn't quite come together - pictured below left and right.- a close look at Harry's face says it all really - once up in the air there was no going back and there was nothing to do but continue !

Last out, Cian O'Connor was aboard a horse just a month or so into his yard, for new owner for Cian, Mark Devey who would have been hoping for a good win today with Kingsdale - pictured below left and right - , the 8 year old Darco gelding - but that was not to be the case when they wall stopped them at 2m seeing them in joint 2nd place with John Whitaker, Capt. David O'Brien, Shane Breen and Pierre Jarry. Marcus Wenz for Germany took 8th place.
The stands were packed and not a spare space could be seen in every stand - pictured above left and right - and even the riders came to watch from their own vantage point - pictured below left. Spotted amongst the huge crowd were Australian showjumping enthusiasts, Pat - pictured below in the orange jacket and Ian Mouser - pictured seated beside wife Pat in the blue sweater - who came to watch the greatest show in the world.
