Moving right along and we go to more classes.....................
and more photos!

The 1m class saw a very big entry with 43 starters eligible for the final which was as hotly contested as the 90cm class but this time we saw two ladies in the lineup which certainly made for a change from the all male lineup in the 90cm class!

Everyone was having a great day and even the dogs get their photos into our reports - especially as every horse owner seems to have at least one dog if not more and the ones at Kill today were no exception!

above - "young" Mark has finished his year at Kill working in all areas from Breeding to Livery and is back to school in a couple of weeks for his final 2 years - seen here with two of the "mates he made at Kill", Jasper and Sammy the Labrador!
< "yard dog", Jasper has found herself a nice new friend today - and a nice crisp might even be in it for Jasper!
above - John O'Boyle insisted we see how "nicely" his dog eats ice cream from the stick!

And so to the 1m class - it is so sad that when there is such a huge entry there can only be 6 in the final placings because this class saw so many exceptional horses but being a jump off class many did not race their youngsters against the clock preferring to save that for later in the careers.

It was great to see Australian National Young Rider, Scottie Barclay in the ring on so many exceptional young horses. Scottie is currently training with Denis Flannelly and is very excited about some of the youngsters he has been given the opportunity of working with and now also competing and it would appear that Scottie seems to have been allocated the title of "stallion master" as he is riding three of the Kill International Competition Barn stallions. We have included a couple of photos of Scottie and his "lads" for our Australian readers so we hope that our non-Australian readers will pardon us the indulgence!

Well the dominance of the mares in the lineup continued in this class with first place going to Janet Murray and her own Ananova, a mare by Highland King out of Red Regent mare and they jumped double clear all the way with a time of 38.26secs. Jack Doyle rode the only gelding in the placings to second spot - Michale Quinn's Brittas Lad, by Warcraft out of a Powerswood Purple mare was another with no fences down and his time was 39.28secs.

Third place went to Jeremy Cash riding his own stallion, Sweet Boherdeel Lad by Linwood Sweet Excalibur out Virginia Wolf by Regular Guy and they too left everything up in a time of 41.02secs. Alan Creighton aboard Imelda Creighton's lovely black mare by Ard Allex Cat was fourth in line with double clear in a time of 42.38secs.

David Donnelly again took 5th spot in the lineup with Karlton Connelly's Tikka Masala adding another double clear to this mare's CV in the time of 47.91secs (they also came 5th in the 90cm). Sixth and final placing went to Julieanne Reynolds, riding her mother's Little Smasher to doule clear in 53.91secs.

right - Denis Flannelly is well know for riding nothing but quality and this new addition to his stable is no exception - a four year old gelding by Concorde who would appear to have no "lack of scope"!
above - Jack Doyle, Irish International champion and Irish icon shows he too has some exceptional youngsters coming up the ranks.

Still on the subject of "puppies" - we are still trying to work out what breed of puppy this one is! Anyone with any ideas we welcome your input!

Or could it be just a very shy little sister of an up and coming Pony Showjumper perhaps?!?
