In a world full of information via the magic of the world wide web, the crew at jumpingaround.com hope to offer you something with a difference - and we hope that difference is great enough to encourage you to add us to your favourites list - possibly even make us your home page!
Jumpingaround.com was an idea born when I decided to make the move to Ireland to follow my great passion - showjumping and of course my own team of showjumping horses - I did not want to lose my Australian readers with whom I have had so much fun and shared so much information over the past 6 years and I also wanted to try and bring to local Irish showjumping what we have in Australia - a way of publicizing those great people who keep our sport going - the Sponsors and supporters - and so it was that the idea for this new offering to readers and followers of all things equestrian was born.
Now you would be guessing correctly if you thought this web publication was going to have a strong emphasis on showjumping but we will also be bringing you general equestrian news as well as covering some dressage and eventing as well.
The staff of jumpingaround.com has a favourite place and we hope that you will enjoy it too - "People at Play" edited by Penelope Shortly, a social butterfly of major proportions. Penelope will bring you the photos you quite possibly won't see in any other publications either print or web and she will be bringing you the gossip and also fashions on and off the arena for both human and horse - in short (no pun intended) Penelope will bring you the "real" news as she likes to put it!
jumpingaround.com will feature coverage of shows both in Ireland and Australia and will also include shows from the Continent - we will have the results as well as write ups and photos. You will be able to follow horses and their careers season by season both by result and by write up and hopefully you will find photos as well.
Our Photographic Editor, Maggie J will co-ordinate the photographers and all photos will be available for sale via the site - all prices are quoted in Euro.
Jumpingaround.com are fortunate to have secured the services of Shaun O'Neill as our resident creative genius and he is nothing short of genius.
