New Australian Eventing Squads Released
The Australian Eventing selectors have released the new Eventing National
Elite and ‘A’ Squads for the January – June period. Stuart
Tinney and his Olympic Gold Medal winning horse Jeepster make a welcome return
to the Elite list after their second placing at Adelaide International CCI****.
Phillip Dutton features on both Squads with Hannigan and Nova Top on the Elite squad in addition to Cayman Went and I'm So Bright as new members of the ‘A’ list. Boyd Martin and True Blue Toozac make their debut on the Elite Squad after their Adelaide International CCI**** victory. Strong performances at Adelaide CCI**** earned Rebel Morrow with Oaklea Groover and Sammi McLeod with the newly acquired Enchanted places on the Elite squad for the first time.
There are 11 new combinations on the ‘A’ list. Impressive results
at Adelaide CCI**** earned Nicky Turner (Warrie Hill), Nikki Richardson (Makinground)
and Sonja Johnson (Ringwould Jaguar) places on the ‘A’ list for
the first time. John Bird and Barney Rubble return to the ‘A’ list
with a solid performance at Adelaide. Puhinui CCI*** (NZL) winner and placegetter
Olivia Bunn (GVDanzar) and Stuart Tinney (Carrera) are new members of the
‘A’ Squad. Sydney Olympian Master Monarch returns to the Squad now
ridden by three time Team Olympic Gold Medallist Andrew Hoy. Minuto and Bill
Levett caught the selectors' eye with a placing at the Boekelo CCI*** and
have been rewarded with a place on the ‘A’ list, as has Mr Moonstone
and Clayton Fredericks who performed well last season.
