Tasmania remains EI free as tests come back negative
The Tasmanian DPI acknowledge owners of the horses that were suspect - all been very helpful and, of course, each did exactly the right thing by reporting the sickness in their horses so quickly. The organisers of the horse events at the Burnie show had a good biosecurity program in place and it was their good record of entrants that enabled us to identify and contact the owners of all contact horses very quickly.

Jessica Kurten confirms positive drug test in May this year
Kurten confirmed, at a press conference in Mannheim that her mare Castle Forbes Maike had returned a positive test to a substance that Kurten has never heard of and denies every having given any performance enhancing drugs to any of her horses.

Australia loses the matriach of equestrian royalty
It is with great sadness that we report the death of Mavis Roycroft, wife of Australia's living legend Bill Roycroft. Mavis was hospitalised a few days ago and died peacefully in her sleep at 3am this morning. Our thoughts are with the Roycroft family on their loss.

Despite incredibly strong rumour on the street which suggested that the Princess of Jordan had purchased this wonderful and most outstanding mare, we have now had it confirmed by Blue Hors Aps that the mare has not been sold and is indeed not for sale.

the rumours on the street abound - but the one rumour which seems to have substance to it is that the show stealer of the Dressage arena in Aachen, Blue Hors Matinee has been sold...to the very astute horsewoman and President of the FEI, the Princess of Jordan for a reported euro7million.

Showjumping final sees a jump off for all medals....
In an extraordinary showjumping final at the World Games today Edwina Alexander did herself proud jumping superbly until the hot and tricky Shutterfly had a rail leaving her out of the medals but a worthy 4th in the World. Gold went to Jos Lansink, Silver to Beezie Madden and Bronze to Merdith Michaels- Beerbaum.

Over a tough and testing track which saw the "recognised" best in the world go down in todays class, Edwina Alexander and Jos Lansink finished equal 1st and Bernardo Alves and Ludger Berbaum took equal 3rd in todays class. To contest the World Champion title are Edwina Alexander, Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum,Beezie Madden, Jos Lansink.
