| Paul Asthanasoff and his talented 8 year old homebred stallion Wirragulla Nicklaus - pictured left - have had a huge start to 2007 - they finished second on the World Cup League for the AUstralian League and now has been announced for the Australian Team traveling to New Zealand. This combination have Beijing in their sights and will be doing everything to prove they are up to the job! | ||||||||||||

| Paula Hamood and NV Capone - pictured right - are another combination who have had a big start to the year. This combination was neck and neck to the final fence in the league with Paul but on a countback they took 3rd place on the World Cup League but they also have their chance to impress selectors for the Olympics as they head to New Zealand. | ||||||||||||

| David Robertson and Sharpe Seal - pictured left - have their chance to show that he perhaps should not have missed out on World Games selection and that they should be in contention for Beijing as they head off with the Aussie Team. | ||||||||||||

| Jamie Kermond - pictured right - gave it his best shot at Aachen and then at the Future Masters in Belgium and since his horse, Stylish King's return to Australia he has not been seen at the major shows so his inclusion on the Australian team to New Zealand is a bit of a surprise entry - but no doubt Jamie will put in 100% effort. | ||||||||||||
| The Trans Tasman competition has become a great way for Australia and New Zealand to field teams in the spirit of competition - something which is common place in Europe but due to the tyranny of distance the Pacific regions do not have this opportunity - as this competition has grown we now see a reported $100,000 prize purse for the big classes so their is obviously more at stake than "an experience" and with the EFA funding the team they will no doubt be looking for a winning result! | ||||||||||||
