The all important final round of the Guidam Spring Tour for 2007 sees young rider Alex Duffy holding the lead with 25 points. Ger O'Neill is breathing down his neck with 24 points and Olive Clarke comes into this round with 16 points. Olive has Mervyn Clarke breathing down her neck with just one point separating them - so this final is going to be an exciting one which ever way you look at it.

But the all important discussion on weather comes first - and today the sun did not shine and it did drizzle throughout the day and towards the end of the day it definitely had a chill in the air. Mullingar have put in a nice surfaced outdoor arena and the area is obviously still being worked on as it looks a little like a building site at the moment - no doubt when it is all completed it will be a lovely venue.

For todays show there was a flat warm up arena plus a jumping warm up arena which is fabulous and gives everyone a chance to do their warm up without getting in each others way.

The venue perhaps lacked a little in atmosphere but that could easily be attributed to the less than friendly weather we experienced today.

But things were brightened up by the proliferation of colours on the horses and now the riders are matching their horses - sometimes it is hard to see where one begins and the other ends!

The colour all began with Gemma Chawke .....pictured left
The tangerine - pictured right - seems to be fashionable this year.
The Millstreet lilac was definitely all the rage today - being sported by Heather Purcell - above left - and Francis Connors - above right.
Lisa Rossbotham -pictured left- has even matched her helmet to the saddle cloth for a very smart look!
The classic hunter green and gold works well especially on the handsome chestnut pictured right
Brendan Ryan is another who sticks with the classic colours with maroon and blue looking very well - pictured left
The fenceline - pictured above left - looked a bit like a "mens club business" on this overcast Sunday in Mullingar.

Barry O'Connor - pictured above right - proves he is a jumper with or without a horse!
