Congratulations to Glen and Kristina Leddy on the birth of their first baby, son Kristoffer on March 25th. Glenn and Kristina, both keen showjumpers are well known on the Irish circuit and Glen has also earned his green jacket jumping Nations Cup on his very successful horse Goldfinger.

It was great to see Glenn at his first show for the season at Barnadown this past weekend and we look forward to seeing him with Kristina and Kristoffer very soon.

Dateline: Australia

The Equestrian Federation of Australia received an invitation for a team of 3 Australian riders to compete at the CSIO* showjumping competition to be held in Seoul from 18th - 19th April, 2007.

The Federation in Australia had an huge response from riders and we understand there was enough interest to have been able to field more than one team.

The Organising committee will provide the horses and the Team competition will be over courses of 1.20m, while the Individual competition will be over 1.30m tracks with US$10,000 prize fund for both the Team and Individual competition.

This is a wonderful opportunity for the riders, who will fund their own travel to Korea and home again but the Organising Committee are picking up the bill for the accomodation and meals for the riders and their chef d'equip.

The riders chosen by the National Selectors to represent Australia are Adam Mellers (QLD), Russell Morrison (Victoria) and Merrick Ubank (QLD)
