Mullingar's Summer Showjumping Festival also played host to the third round of Young Rider and Pony qualifiers for Dublin Horse Show - for the Leinster Region.
The conditions were tough with the ground being described by many as "mud that grabs your horses back legs and won't let it move" for the Young Riders - the Pony ring seemed to have faired a little better but not a great deal - perhaps the fact that the ponies were lighter across the ground helped them!

The riders in the 1.30m and 1.20m classes decided to not jump off for placings due to the conditions preferring to accept equal 1st placings rather than risk their horses on grounds which were, at this stage becoming dangerous.
All the above riders are now qualified for Dublin Horse Show - and with just one more qualifier to go, in the Ulster Region, there are just 5 more places available.
