Friday morning saw the Farewell Class for the Junior riders in Schaffhausen - the jump off was fast and furious when 21 riders went through to compete against the clock.

Sweden took first palce honours when Robin Ingvarsson and 14 year old Swedish bred mare Huldas Karin - pictured below left - jumped double clear with a jump off time of 32.83secs.

Host nation, Switzerland took 2nd in this class when Stefanie Lauber and 13 year old Dutch bred gelding Koncorde - pictured above right - jumped double clear in 32.96secs.

Third place went to Djamal Rahimov from AZE with Hollywood IV, - pictured below left - a 10 year old Selle Francais stallion and they too went double clear with 32.97secs, coming in just 0.01secs behind second placegetter.

Fourth place, again saw the host nation in the lineup when Philipp Zuger and 14 year old Oldenburg gelding Lafite - pictured above right - came through the finish flags with everything in place and stopped the clock at 33.94secs.

Fifth place went to Ireland's Anthony Condon with Steve and Lisa Barn's Irish bred mare Lottie - pictured below left - and they too produced double clear jumping, stopping the clock in the jump off at 34.39secs.

Italy's Martina Casaro and 11 year old Selle Francais mare Gazelle Definguinfard took 6th place with double clear jumping and a jump off time of 34.59secs.

Ireland's Heather Purcell took out 7th place with Jaynick when they stopped the jump off clock at 34.71secs with all fences in place.

Branislav Chudyba and the 9 year old CZE bred mare Felicitas were in 8th place with clear jumping and a time of 34.86secs.

Still to come are more photos from the Championships prizegiving ceremony which was greeted by the first rays of sunshine we have seen since in Switzerland.
