Dateline: January 3rd, 2010 - Germany

The final major performance sale for 2009 was held at the world famous P.S.I saw the highest prices paid for the Dressage horses.

Top price paid was €760,000 for a March 2003 stallion by Diamond Hit, owned by Brookhouse Stud and competed by Emma HIndle for Great Britain. Diamond Hit has fathered 18 licensed sons and no doubt the proud new owners of Diamonit will have high hopes for their new purchase.

Next highest price paid was a June gelding by the Indoctro son Sheraton out of a Cavalier mare and he achieved €570,000 with a career in showjumping ahead of him.

Ttwo bargains sold for €65,000 each. The June 2005 gelding by Sinclair for Dressage was one and the second bargain was the June 2004 Jumping gelding by Stakkato.

Twenty five dressage horses sold and 22 jumping horses sold at the 2009 Auction.

Dateline: end 2009 - World Rankings

The rankings at the end of 2009 saw Marcus Ehning for Germany holding the top spot, closely followed by Albert Zoer for the Netherlands.

Third place saw Eric Lamaze for Canada with Switzerlands Pius Schwizer in fourth place.

Australian Edwina Alexander continues to hold her position at number 5 and Rodrigo Pessoa returns to the top 10 holding 6th spot.

Seventh place is shared by France's Kevin Staut who is the current European Champion, and Sweden's Rolf-Goran Bengtsson.

Ninth place belongs to America's McLain Ward with the Netherlands holding 10th place for Harrie Smolders.

The top 30 on the Rolex World Rankings see 13 countries represented.

Canada, Australia, Sweden, Great Britain, Italy and Belgium have one apiece.

Germany and France both have 5 apiece, Switzerland and USA have 4 apiece, Netherlands, Brazil and Ireland have two apiece.

Dateline: World Cup wrap up - around the world

The Western European League has 7 out of their 13 rounds finished and Eric Van der Vleuten is well int he lead with Pius Schwizer slotting into second position with their trip to Sweden fairly secure.

The Central European Sub League has completed 7 out of 9 rounds with Arseny Shpakoskiy in the lead for Russia.

The Southern Central European League have nearly completed their league with 7 out of 8 completed and Avni Atabek for Turkey in the lead.

The USA East Coast League has completed 11 out of 15 rounds with Mario Deslauriers from Canada in the lead.

The USA West Coast League has completed 7 out of 14 rounds with Rich Fellers in the lead and Australian Harley Brown lying in second position.

The South American League has completed 2 out 7 rounds and S.De Freiras Barcha for Brazil is in the lead.

South Africa has completed 4 out 5 rounds and Shaun Neill holds the lead from big brother Gareth Neill.

Pacific League, Australia has been completed with Chris Chugg winning convincingly leaving second position to another Australian International rider Michelle Lang-McMahon.

Pacific League, New Zealand have completed 2 out of 8 rounds with Katie McVean in the lead.

The Japanese League is completed and Toshiki Masui has won with second place going to Atsushi Katayama.

The Arabian League have completed 4 out of 11 rounds with Khaled AL Eid from KSA in the lead.

The South East Asian League has completed 2 out of 4 rounds and Qabil Ambak Dato' Mahamed Fathil for MAS is in the lead.

The Central Asian League has been completed and Andrey Shalchin has won the right to represent at the Final in Sweden in April.
