One of the nicest shows on the Australian jumping scene is by and large one of the best kept secrets - Shoalhaven Jump Club on the south coast of New South Wales boasts an idyllic venue which is further enhanced by the President's Tent which hosts great food and drink all day with front row views of the jumping on what is a well maintained grass arena and in early February they run their 2 day show which follows on from Berry Show gicing riders 3 days of good competition.

The prize fund for all classes includes thousands of dollars worth of fabulous prizes from supporters such as Diesel, Corrina Dental Chambers and RM Williams to name just a couple all organised by Club dynamo Simon Kale and the great committee.

Many, including the jumpingaround crew, made the trip to Shoalhaven only to be met with the news that the Berry Show had been cancelled due to torrential rains and this did not look good for Saturday's jumping at Shoalhaven!

Sadly the news was not good on Saturday morning after a night of flooding rains and the show was called off - the Course Designer headed back home and people were left wondering what they would do with their Saturday!

Simon Kale and his wife, Olwyn generously opened their Foxground property gates, They gathered the food and drink that had been organised for the Presidents Tent and invited everyone to come and join them for an all day eat and drink fest. Laughter and chat about horses and all things connected with the last leaving around 6pm was the order of the day while the rain continued to lash down!

Foxground Training Stables have been the training grounds for many of the top eventers in Australia and Simon Kale is a well known and highly respected Coach and Coach Educator.

There are not many properties that have the peace and tranquilty to be found at Foxground - even in the lashing rain!

For those who find it difficult to get the girth done up that last little bit, this is a fabulous "must have" for the tack box. For further information and prices phone Olwyn on 0417 216 381 (for Australian readers).
